The winner!

This was sort of a win by default, since, after eliminating all the nominees who were either a) designed by Todd McFarlane or b) not Soul Calibur II characters, we were left with only Talim and Cervantes and Barry Goldwater. We had already established that Cervantes was the apotheosis of badass killing machine - sort of the American Coolness Academy's anti-McFarlane - and that Barry Goldwater looks sort of like Ted Knight, who was in the Mary Tyler Moore show and Caddyshack. Plus the whole nuclear weapons thing. So, really, we had no choice but Talim. For reasons I don't remember right now, I just went back to the Talim page on www.soulcalibur.com, and I defy you to read that bio and tell me this award wasn't deserved. So congratulations to our little Pilipino hippie on her amazing victory!
