Short review, I guess.

This port of the classic Legend of Zelda is almost identical to the original. If you liked that, you'll like this, and, personally, I can think of precious few games I'd rather have with me on the road. Watch out, though; the intro narration has been retranslated! Boo. At least the in-game text is still the same.

So why, if they're functionally identical, do I give this game a lower rating than the original? Two reasons. One, it pissed me off that the classic intro text was redone, and, two, it's been twenty years since the original game came out, and I'd expect they could do something to make the control less stiff. Alas.
